\n\u25cfPost-Baccalaureate Undergraduate Program in Integrated Clinical Interpretation based on Laboratory Data<\/p>\n

This year, \u2018the College of Health Sciences\u2019 marks its 15th year
\nsince its establishment in August, 1999. Currently the College
\nhas established six departments, offering seven undergraduate
\nprograms, seven Master programs, three In-Service Master
\nprograms, and two Doctoral programs. Every department aims to
\ncultivate healthcare professionals who can meet global and local
\ndemands of society, connect with the world, integrate theory and
\npractice, and master multiple healthcare missions. A series of
\nMemoranda of Understanding with the College of Human
\nSciences of Cologne University, Germany, and the School of
\nPublic Health and Tropical Medicine of Tulane University, U.S.A.,
\nalso allow the College to pursue internationalization and stay
\nconnected to the world.
\nThe College of Health Sciences makes every effort to promote
\nacademic exchanges and technological cooperation internationally.
\nEarly in 1994, the undergraduate program in the Department of
\nOccupational Therapy obtained WFOT accreditation. Since 2001,
\nthe Department of Healthcare Administration and Medical
\nInformatics has built up a cooperative course \u2018Special Topics
\nin US. Hospital Management\u2019 with the Department of Health
\nAdministration, Virginia Commonwealth University to offer Master
\nstudents opportunity to study American hospital management in
\nStates; the Department of Public Health has offered a cooperative
\ncourse \u2018Special Topics in Occupational Health and Safety Practice\u2019
\nwith Harvard University since 2005, which has been participated
\nby research students from both universities. After the 2010
\n\u2018International Bachelor Program in Biomedical Sciences\u2019 for
\nGambian students (from which eleven students were graduated),
\nthe Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology
\nnow offers a full-English course module from 2014 to cultivate
\nprofessionals in medical laboratory science and biotechnology
\ninternationally. The Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological
\nSciences has also started to plan an interdisciplinary course
\nmodule of \u201cDental Imaging Technology\u201d since 2014. The other
\nDepartments also have academic exchanges and collaborative
\ncourses with overseas universities. For example, the Department
\nof Physical Therapy\u2019s overseas internship in Malaysia, and the
\nDepartment of Occupational Therapy\u2019s overseas community
\ninternship in Australia perfectly show the internationalization of
\nthe College of Health Sciences. The focuses of research of the
\nCollege continued to be: research to develop nano-biomedical
\nmaterials, nano-molecular diagnostics, and nano-medical imaging
\ntechnologies; research to analyze the influence of changes in the
\nenvironment and genes on health by investigating the whole
\nspectrum of factors such as environmental changes, epidemiology
\nand molecular biology; research on innovative healthcare provider
\nmodels and decision-supporting systems by combining information
\nand communication technologies, medical data mining, and clinical
\nhealthcare; and research on the clinical therapeutic regimes
\ntargeting the quality of life of the aging society. These plans
\nabove all comply well to the College\u2019s overall aim: \u2018with holistic
\nconcept in healthcare and dedication in environmental health, the
\nCollege of Health Sciences shall become the best in Southern
\nTaiwan and top among other Taiwan institutions, and contributing
\nto global society.\u2019
\nIn future, with the learning atmosphere of internationalization,
\nholistic education and evidence-based practice, the College of
\nHealth Sciences hope to offer a more completed selection of
\neducation opportunity by setting up programs such as doctoral
\nprogram in healthcare management and medical information
\ntechnology; core courses for master in smart healthcare management;
\nmaster program in smart healthcare innovation and practical
\nmanagement; summative course module of public health, summative
\ncourse module of practical healthcare and health promotion; course
\nmodule of molecular diagnosis in preventive medicine; and
\ncourse module of dental imaging technology, and investigating
\nthe possibility of establishing the DPT program, and to continue
\nstrengthening the collaboration with overseas sister schools, and
\nestablishing college level research centers, to further develop
\nteaching and research in health management and healthcare.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
